Well, It’s officially winter and of course I would have the luck of having my water heater break down. I had a couple of options at this point. I had a repair man out to the house to look into the problem. I could not believe how much he was going to charge to fix the water heater.

It turns out that I could get a brand new electric tankless water heater for one thousand more than it would cost to repair my old water heater. This seems to go with the territory these days as it’s almost always cheaper to buy something new than it is to replace it. Of course I was not happy that my water heater broke but it does give me an opportunity to upgrade and possible get some tax breaks while I’m at it.
