Preparing for Winter

December 8th, 2008  |  Published in Things

Everybody knows that in winter, many of us are not eating as well as they should. Vegetables are rather scarce and very expensive, so people focus on eating more meat and pasta, forgetting that the body needs more nutrients to be strong against all viruses that come with the cold season. Of course, immune system support supplements can help maintaining a good condition and keep you free of cold and flu, but they may not be enough for a strong immune system.

If you can, try to eat a lot of oranges, because they contain vitamin C, a very important element for protecting us in front of the winter. Also, you may want to cut budgets from other expenses and allocate more for food, as nutrition is very important, especially for children and elders. Don’t neglect this aspect, otherwise you’ll spend even more on doctors and pills.
